    Hi:
Next time, feel free to interrupt. What airplane were you flying? I am still working on the fuel leak.

    Hi Scott:
Hopefully you will fly your Kitfox into 02C (Capitol Airport, Brookfield Wi) one day. My Kitfox 4 is done and has it's Airworthiness, but is awaiting first flight due to a fuel leak.

Hi (Skot?) - Performance info and more at http://www.aerotrek.aero/. Personally, I think the Aerotrek is a heck of nice SLSA, extremely well thought out with impeccable fit and finish, the best for the price. Cabin is very comfortable with bowed bubble doors, and over an inch wider than the KF7. However, I also think I would prefer the KF7 if I had the funds and was not limited by Sport Pilot regs. Compare M.T.O.W. 1235lbs. vs. 1550lbs., useful load 580lbs. vs. 800lbs., luggage compartment capacity 150lbs. vs. 50lbs. Empty weight 655lbs. vs. 750lbs. The KF SLSA is a bit larger overall and costs about 10%, or $7-8k more, than the Aerotrek for comparably equipped 'base' models. Unfortunately, the KF7 SLSA at 1320lbs. for SP has less useful load than the Aerotrek. Hope that helps.

    Hey Skot,
Very nice to meet you at Iola today. I noticed you were taking some pictures when I took off, if possible could you email me an inflight picture if you have one. I really don't have any. Again, it was a pleasure to talk to you. Dan

    Skot,

Yes you are correct. The original round tubing strut worked well until my emergency landing back in May which bent it down severely(do to fork digging into wet marsh grass) until It broke off at the rubber isolators attach point. I did replace it with the current style and seems to work fine, also used my original wheel, fork and mounting brackets to the fuselage. As I stated in an earlier post, the part from the McBean's was 495.00 which I thought wasn't too bad. The streamline strut does seem beefed up compared to my original. Good luck to you Skot.

  7. I think I have sent the pictures of my header tank installation. Computer is acting up. Let me know if you get it and if you have any questions.
  8. I'll do some searching I have some photos that will help. As soon as I find the photos I'll describe it the best I can.

Do you have an email I could send the photos too, mine is paulzimm@me.com.

I had read your post and looked and looked and couldn't figure out which thread it was in. I just tripped across it today.
