Lowell, I know this reply is also late, but I'm back in Arizona this month with no chance of making it out to California. I hope y'all have fun. Safe flying...go easy on the lying...until next time.

    Hi Lowell,

I'd like to share my email address with you:

    jrevens@comcast.net

These private messages are not so private, & I seem to have a problem finding copies of received messages sometimes. I've reset my preferences for the second time, & hopefully now my sent messages will be saved, but I'd sure like to correspond with you once in awhile offline.

    Take care,
    John Evens

Lowell, I accept your invitation to the Desert Fox @ Thunder Ridge. I'll put it on my calendar and plan on being there. Can't bring a King Air 300, so I may have to drive in, unless I can find a plane to fly. Time will tell. Thank you.

Lowell, I don't know what I'm doing with these postings but if this gets to you, I want to thank you for your input regarding my leaky wing tank. I will attempt a repair or replacement sometime this winter when I can't find good weather for flying. All the best to you.

Lowell, have you heard from Grover anytime recently? I've tried this week to connect, but to no avail. I fly back to Texas in the morning and it may be a while before I get back this way. Thank you again for allowing a kid to come bug you for a bit! I enjoyed the visit! Looking forward to flying next to you...hopefully sooner than later. Thanks gain, Chris.

    Lowell,
Hello, my name is Chris. I am in the Sacramento area for the week and would love to come bend your ear and talk Kitfoxes. If you'd like to show off your newly finished IV, talk about your build experiences, and wouldn't mind a "Hangar Rat" come by to gawk, let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you...

Hi Lowell: I've finished my phase one on my Kitfox 4, and returned the Kitfox to my home airport, San Carlos, Ca, where I can REALLY work on the airplane. In cruise, my flaperons want to blow down appoximately 3-4 degrees. At 0 flaps, the Kitfox really want to climb. I can trim out the climb by lowering the flaps about 5 degrees. My stab leading edge is mounted as high as possible. When checking incidence angles today, I realized that the engine is mounted about 2 degrees POSITIVE. Is this normal for the Kitfox design? From my model airplane days, we NEVER had upthrust, generally 1-2 degrees of downthrust, depending on the model design. Please respond directly to my email at brucee7837@aol.com. thanks, bruce estes

Lowell, I talked to you yesterday about doing new weight and balance on my IV Classic. I leveled like you said and wondered if you could run my numbers and see what you come up with. I don't have excel.
My total weight was 823#, main gear alone 795#, Rt. gear 401#, LF gear 395#, TW 27#. My main axles were 2.875" rear of leading edge, tailwheel axle 162.25 rear of leading edge. I am 225#. The plane has a NSI Subaru so it is heavy.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
    Sincerely,
    Bob Pierce
