Thanks for the reply Mike. Hanging/working for the chapter in Oshkosh this week for a few days...I'd probably be there all week but I live to darn close and work still gets in my way!

Hi Mike, I have some preliminary performance numbers on the carbon fiber sensenich. These numbers are based on my first (recommended) setting which is #3 on the hub setting. Climb- vy 800fpm@2850rpm, cruise 102 mph @ 2930rpm, W.O.T. Straight and level 112mph@3050rpm. Overall I am happy with the performance but of course I will experiment with other pitch settings to see if and how I can improve on what I have, maybe less pitch. Any thoughts you have are more than welcome! Hope all is well, are you doing Oshkosh?

    Thanks Mike,
I talked to Pete at Jabiru USA today and ordered a ground adjust 2 blade Sensenich carbon fiber. I had an inflight prop failure last Sat. morning resulting in my first forced landing. Not sure yet what caused it but looks like the spinner came off and hit the prop leading edge on one blade which shattered the wood. Hope your prop works well for you when you get one. I'll try to let you know how the one works for me.

    Hi Mike,
Did you buy the Prince prop you were telling me about a few months back? If you did, how do your performance numbers look?

    Thanks,

    Dan

My cruise is 95mph @ 2800 rpm and climb is an easy 1000 fpm at 1000 lbs gross. I think I might have to much prop pitch because it's rare to get over 2900rpm at full throttle. What do you think?

    Hey Mike,
Thanks for the response! It's good to hear you have had a good experience with the Rotec heads. I am looking into installing on my jabiru. I have a Sensenich wood prop 62x44 that
seems to give me a good all around performance. What is your climb rate and cruise speed?

    Hi Mike ,

How are the Rotec heads working for you? Any info you can give me would be great as I am considering them for my 2200. What is the overall weight gain to convert? I have over 90 hours on my Jabiru and everything looks good so far but want to hear your thoughts. Also what kind of cost are we looking at?
Hope all is well with you.

    Thanks

    Dan

Hi Cubtractor, I have a Model 4 Speedster with a Jab 2200. It has 40 hours on the engine now. Has anyone put a list together of Kitfoxes with Jabiru engines? The only problem my install is an ugly cowling. Thanks, Chip Diggins
