Hello again. Bruce @ zensurfer55@gmail. Completed riveting internal stiffeners. Fitted ribs, etc. Half the ribs are marked 27001. The other half are not marked. Assuming they are the 27002's which are supposed to have thicker "webs." I can't see or measure a difference.

Hello: I am a new builder, Classic IV. When beginning to install the internal stiffeners on the wing tubes it occured to me that it would be difficult to pass the ribs over the rivots at a later date. Acc. to the manual, this is the correct order of steps and I know certain ribs must be notched for the antidrag brackets to be fit but what about the ribs in that section of the tubes? Thank you for your help. Bruce - In Eastern N.C.

    Grover,
Kay is leaving for Asia next Tuesday - March 22. She has asked that I drive her to the Bart station in Pleasant Hill. Not sure on the time, but it should be pretty much in the middle of the day. Wondering if you will be around for a visit as I will be passing through Vacaville.

Grover, I hope all is well and you've had a chance to at least look at your plane and dream of working on it! How's the solar project going? And the plane? I'm out in Alabama for the Instructor Pilot Course...it's fun, but long days...hope to get back out to California to catch up with you and Lowell. Write back when you have a free moment and let me know how things are going. Until then...Chris.

    Grover,
I'd hoped to connect this time and check out your plane, talk shop, etc. I fly out in the morning and will likely not be out this way again for a while. I have some time tonight, but you may be otherwise engaged. If you're free, I can drive down. Either way, let me know please. Thanks in advance for the reply... Chris

    Grover,
I thought I sent you a message yesterday, but I can't find it anywhere. Nevertheless, I'm in town this week and would like to link up and talk shop. Flying late tonight, but if you let me know what works for you, I'll work something out. Spent a couple hours in Cameron Park with Lowell. Had a good visit and got to see a bit of his passion for the Kitfox. Looking forward to hearing from you....Chris

    Glad to have helped.

Maybe the original kit shipment mistakenly came with extra, maybe one of the previous builders ordered more (I could see that happening, it would be an easy mistake to make when taking inventory), who knows...
