Greetings, I see you have a HKS on your KF. I'm wondering if you could share some of your opinions about this engine option? The reason I ask is because I have another brand homebuilt with a HKS and am impressed with it's economy. A friend has an unfinished Tri gear Model 5 that I am considering buying and finishing with the possibility of a HKS for power. Anything you can tell me about this being a good or bad choice would be helpful. Thanks much, Skot

The little curved parts, front and back. That fit around the spars. Did you fabricate them from aluminum or fabric? They really look smooth and slick.
    Thanks Dutch

I am hoping you can help me with the but rib fabric covering? My plans are kind of vague. Any detail or better yet pics would be great!
    Thanks Dutch.
  6. For my particular paint scheme I used about 1 Gallon of Pontiac Red(Plus one quart for screw ups on my part), 2 quarts of insignia white, and 1 quart of black. A Kitfox 6 should be pretty similar as far as quantities. Call it 2 gallons total of paint.

I would pick your colors carefully though if you are painting over another color since what's underneath has a HUGE affect on the final paint color. For my red I had to have the white ekofill(primer/base) for the red to be bright. Same needs to be done for other bright colors. One more suggestion - the paint is VERY temperature and humidity sensitive. Do exactly as they say as far as temps and humidity and you'll have a decent paint job even if you can't get the best gun setup. Overall though, the Stewart's are very pleasant to deal with. The answer the phone most of the time and will be able to give you advise for painting over other colors.
