Got my license endorsed after a 15 year break, good to be a pilot again. I am flying my son back to college tomorrow, Worcester Ma to Burlington Vt.. Trying to get a bunch of hours in before I start flying the 7.
Congrats. Dorsal.
Awesome Dorsal ,..Claremont NH CNH is one of my old stomping grounds,..they do have AV gas on field so does Parlin field in Newport NH,..I'm guess they are close to the 1/2 way mark,..or lebanon NH LEB and there is a restaurant on field tower is 125.95 ground is 121.6 unicom is 122.95,..watch out for the hang gliders around mount ascutney lebanon does have a landing fee though,..Parlin and CNH do not,.. just in case Claremont CNH is non towered 122.7 5/23 is "X" 11 / 29 active Left pattern Parlin is 122.8 non towered 12 / 30 is "X" 18 / 36 is active Left pattern
Unfortunately due to light rain with freezing levels occasionally reaching the surface the flight was scrubed. During the mind numbingly long drive I kept pulling back on the steering wheel but nothing happened
ha ha that's ok Finn,.. on the drive back from Texas thru the snow everytime the tail end of the car swayed or slide I was catching myself thinking left rudder or right rudder,..the wind was blowing at 30 plus with 40 gusts at 90 degree's to the road so that was fun too,.just kept a steady 45 50 mph and dodged the guy's that didn't know how to drive in the snow . We'd have some guys in 4x4's fly by us at 60 plus mph only to see them in the ditch 5 miles ahead,.. sometimes in pairs if it was 2 4x4's running together. so did you take 140 to 12 to 91 to 89 or 95 to 93 to 89 . for a return ride in the fall a pretty ride is to scoot across 2 out of montpelier then catch 3 just south of littleton NH,..south on 3 through the white mountains to 93 Chase
