Hi All,

I'm not near the plane at the moment and am looking at replacement scat host (I'm fairly sure it's scat) for the Kitfox IV with a 912UL (80HP).

I'm after the diameter and possibly part number of the scat hose that connects from the Carbs to the Carbheat Airbox.

Is anyone able to confirm my understanding that the type of hose for the Carbies needs the spiral winding on the inside of the hose and not a laminated piece of hose, due to the vacuum created in these hoses.

Extra points if you can find the hose on Aircraft Spruce.

I believe this is the correct type of hose (just not sure of the inner diameter) - Note: the wording "The inner part is coated with visible steel wire."

and I believe this is the incorrect type of hose as it says: "There is an inner steel wire inside the hose wall."

Thanks in advance

So I was able to measure the Inner Diameter of the scat hose over the weekend. I'm posting back here in case anyone else is searching for the answer, perhaps even me in a few years time.

2 Inches Inner Diameter and the hose has the spiral wind inside the hose to prevent the hose from collapsing.

on Aircraft spruce "
Ducting Vena HT" 2 Inch is the stuff I was after.
