Getting close to my AW inspection would like to know where I can find a copy of the aircraft operating limitations for a model III Kit Fox or any manuals for a model III. Thank you Greg.

Operating limitations are written during the test phase by test pilot. Only thing I can tell you is the never exceed speed on the model 3 as I recall is 98 mph. Gross weight is 1050 lbs. Other speeds will be discovered during test phase.

Can't help you with the build manuals. Sorry.

Operating limitations are written during the test phase by test pilot.

More specifically. The Operating Limitations on any Experimental Amateur Built are issued by the FAA/DAR when the Airworthiness Certificate is issued and are a part of the Airworthiness Certificate and must be kept in the aircraft when operating.

The previous owner of your kitfox should have given you the operating limitations. If they didn't and don't have them you can order all the documents for that airplane from the FAA. Here's a link to get you started. http://aircraft.faa.gov/e.gov/nd/

Here's a link to a PDF of the Model III owner's manual. You need to fill in the blanks for your Kitfox. Scroll down to the second post to find the PDF http://www.avidfoxflyers.com/index.php?/topic/587-kitfox-model-iii-owners-manual/

As said above, the Operating Limitations were issued when the aircraft was given it's airworthiness certificate.
If you no longer have them it is possible it might be on file with the FAA. You can contact your local FSDO an see if they can find this.
Or, put a request in for all documents that the FAA has on file for the aircraft here: http://aircraft.faa.gov/e.gov/nd/ It will cost a few dollars and you'll be given every document the FAA has ever received on the aircraft in question. Which would include the Operating Limitations issued.

As far as Manual, it's up to the builder to establish their own manual as part of the phase one testing is establishing all your V speeds.
Their are a few copies of Model III pilot operating handbooks floating around on the web though.

Here is one found from the Avid forum: http://www.avidfoxflyers.com/index.php?/topic/587-kitfox-model-iii-owners-manual/
