View Full Version : Rudder cable pulley retention cotter pins?

Working with the rudder cable swaging etc, I thought "There really needs to be something for cable retention at the 4 pulleys aft of the seat". Looking closely, I saw predrilled holes below each pulley that look appropriate for cotter pins or roller pins or some such. But repeated searching of the build instructions fails to find any mention of those holes or any pins there. Am I just not seeing it? Or am I off base?
Thanks! - Michael

They do get cotter pins. Page 52, step 23 of the fuselage manual.

Damn, Brian, you're as insomniac as I am.
I see this is another of the dreaded "Do This Later" instructions. I'm going to have to find a better way to flag those. Thanks!

Haha. Building a plane has gotten me in the habit of getting up early. What I do is keep a worksheet in a spreadsheet titled "punch list". Any time I think of something I need to remember or if I read a "do this later" step, I add it to the list. It's on Google Drive so I can access it anywhere.

Hahaha, I have that kind of list as well. Only one item left on it though. Fly It!

Eddie: Thhpptpt! ;-)

Brian: Yep, gonna have to go formal on this. Punch list it is. I'll keep it where I keep everything else: on my phone, along with the "stuff to buy" list, which I add to as I work on the plane. I can use "Numbers" on iPhone/iPad. Thanks for the idea!
