I am in need of a pic of the tail spring mounting flange. Apparently the factory welds gussets now to reinforce the flange located on the bottom of the vertical stab square tubing. Someone on this site recently experienced this flange breaking and since I am already welding on my airframe I figured I might as well knock out this mod. Also would help if someone can give me the thickness of the newer flanges.

Thanks in advance.

The mounting plate is pretty much doubled in thickness. The gusset is a trapazoid welded to the back of the mounting plate and to the aft tube in the vertical stabilizer. Sorry I don't have a pictures. I'm sure you can contact the factory and order the parts to be welded. That is what I did.

Just what I needed.

FYI if it the vertical bolt is already tightened (in the picture) it is too short . The threads of bolts used with self locking nuts need to protrude 1-2 threads minimum. I hope the plane isn't flying like this.
