Howdy all;
I just picked up a new Halotron 2.5 lbs fire Extinguisher, but this thing is kind of big for my model 4 cabin.
Where have you placed yours? Got a picture?
Thanks in advance
Roger

I don't have a picture but mine located on the slanted floor board in front of the passenger stick perpendicular to the airframe. It doesn't get in the way at all.

Roger, here is where mine is mounted , on the baggage area cross tube. The extinguisher is maybe 10" long and 3" in diameter and the leather case in front is for a foldable knife I could use to cut thru my side windows should the need ever arise (God forbid) . Requires a bit of contortion that this old body protests but I can still access them from the left seat. Bruce N199CL

Mine is bolted down in the front of the baggage area, right behind the passenger seat. Easily accessible by the pilot and always out of the way.

Front right baggage floor. The thought is I can reach it in flight.

Since I didn't do the adjustable rudder pedals I had room here -

Easy to knock off, but easy to reach too.

Don't have a picture handy on my tablet, but I mounted mine to the seat pan center hump just aft of the console. Very accessible, and since my wife and I are both thin, it should not be intrusive.

I 3d printed a mount and fastened it within reach in the baggage area.

Not to spoil the party, but please remember that in a crash or fast deceleration, everything back there is now going to become a projectile. Would be a real shame to survive impact but get injured by flying debris. Bruce N199CL

Good point Bruce. I have some reservations about using a 3D printed plastic part as a structural piece. Will it able to withstand deceleration forces? For certified aircraft we have to use AC43.13-2B chapter 1 and do load limit testing for mods mounted in an aircraft. The principal applies just as well to experimental aircraft.

I have a few 3D printed parts in my Kitfox, but nothing structural. I only have knobs, handles and trim pieces.
