New stile Kitfox seat measurements

I want to make seats in the stile of the new Kitfox seats for my kitfox4 does anyone have the measurement of the seat parts. Thank you

What aspects of the larger airframe seats are you looking for?

Seat bottom

17 1/2” long
15 1/2” rear width
17” front width
3” thick with sculptured butt relief about 2” thick

seat back

19” tall
19” width at top
15” width at bottom
2” thick at bottom
1 1/2” thick at top also sculptured for lumbar support.

a bit pricey but they are comfy. It’s just another airplane part!

I have the old one solid seat cover very uncomfortable and getting worn so plan to make seats like the new style. Thanks for all the help

Does anyone have the series 4 seat measurements don’t trust my measurements. Would like those off the series 4 seat. Have a 3 dat trip planned for May and would like them completed by then. My one piece seat is very uncomfortable

No. I bought these direct from Oregon Aero. They are for series 5 thru 7

So you got bare foam cushions from Oregon Aero for DIY upholstery? I have looked on their web site a few times and didn't find any Kitfox offerings.

FWIW it is exactly the same as the KF3 seat. Next time I'm at the hanger I can measure the width at the front and back of the seat.

Hey not a problem at all thanks for offering to help. I could always call Kitfox but I figure there phone rings enough and there is 1000 guys on here wanting to talk about airplanes. You would think some one on here has a pair 10 feet away from them in there garage.

I am having trouble with the seat interfering with the stick. I think mine are too long. They measure 19".
Did Kitfox make an error?

My seat bottoms have a notch cut out for stick clearance.

My seat has an indentation. I would not call it a notch. All of the pictures I have seen of the Kitfox seats look the same.
My RV-6 seat has a section about 6" x 4" cut out.

Mine seemed a little long in that direction too (Model 5). What I do is install them first with the front edge even with the front of the seat pan, then I put in the seat backs.

I am putting in the seat bottom first and then placing the backs on top of the seat cushion.
