Here is my Kitfox 4 with the NSI Subaru EA81 doing a fairly short takeoff with 1/2 flaps and the Warp Drive Prop pitched for cruise @ 22 degrees.
You can see I only get about 4500 RPM by the digital tach, but I like setting the prop for better cruise. When I had the NSI CAP electric prop installed I would set takeoff RPM for 5500 and really get going. Even with the new Matco brakes and wheels I can't hold it still at full power. Climb solo is 1000-1200 FPM at full power according to my Dynon and ForeFlight Ipad and about 65 MPH. So much fun to be back in the air! Cheers, Kirby

Pretty snappy takeoff. Enjoy every flight.

Nice! I have a RAM Subaru with a Stratus redrive turning a 72" Warp straight blade in my Classic IV and have no complaints with my performance. Maybe someday I'll get the 912ULS but for now I'll continue to enjoy the low cost and smoothness of the Soob.

I would love to see some pics of your Subaru installation. The Stratus seems like a simple re-drive solution. I wonder how the overall weight compares to the NSI set up?

Why did you remove to NSI prop?

The NSI prop works great.
My son was just learning to fly and I wanted to remove the prop control so the airplane was simpler to fly.
Also, the ground adjustable Warp Drive prop is about 1/3 the weight.
May put the NSI back on someday.

What does the NSI weight I am considering putting one on a 670 powered Mod 1.

I think the NSI CAP weighs about 28 pounds.
