I must be missing a page in my building book as I have looked at every page and I can not find any explanation as to how I am to attach the boot cowl at the door frame. There are no part numbers listed on any pages to show rivets or perhaps using nut plates. I do have a page that shows aligning this and drilling the holes but no mention about the final attachment. Am I missing some instructions here or am I just blind?

I think my manual implies at least that it gets riveted on. I wanted it to be removable, so I followed Tom Waid's lead and used nutplates and screws along the door edges.

Should be in the firewall fwd plans. Mine was (lycoming).

High quality steel rivnuts with loctite 680, the same foam that they use on the top of the butt ribs and then countersunk SS screws is how I did mine

I used SS screws and acorn nuts. Makes it easily removable if needed.

Floating nutplates drilled and riveted in place. Countersunk SS machine screws with the recessed countersunk washers. Looks great. The rivet heads on my pull rivets are very low profile. You can't notice that the boot cowl isn't flat against the metal.

Thank you all for the responses, nut plates will be the way I go.
