Need a change of pace and was thinking about covering the gear legs. The manual says that holes should be made on the inside to facilitate passage of the brake lines. Should I wait to cover until I am ready to install, or can I take care of it now.

Does anyone have pictures of the holes for the brake lines?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve,
No experience here building a 7, but imagining your build situation, I think I would run the lines, but without final tightening. This would provide an opportunity to do the run to give the best inlet / outlet locations and give the approximate locations of the necessary holes in the fabric. Then do the final run after cover and paint.

I installed airfoil shaped ribs on my cabane gear, then hysol’ed a tube down it to slide the brake line through later.

Apparently my pictures are too big to post.
