Curious if anyone plans on attending the WAAM fly-in in Hood River, Oregon this weekend? It is scheduled for the 8th-10th. I hope to get down there and walk the parking area as it is free to do so and I have seen what is inside the gates before. I know we have at least one member based there and a few others that are close by. I would love to get a thorough 'tour' of a Model IV from an owner.

I am based at 4S2 (WAAM Fly-in airfield). I don't know of any other Kitfoxes on the field but that would be great to know!

I won't be in town unfortunately but if you're in the area today or next week i'll be more than happy to let ya sit in my model 4.

I'd offer you a ride but I'm currently still in conditional and don't think it'll be ready for a week.

That sounds great, HS87! I am roughly an hour East of you and would be happy to meet at a convenient time for you. I know there is an Avid at your location as of some time this Summer. Possibly a MK4, but not positive on the model.

I made a last minute decision to fly to WAAM. I am hoping to leave Nampa around lunch time. That should put me there about 3:00 pm.

I need to depart early Sunday morning to get back to Nampa. I am flying to Spokane that evening on a commercial flight for my work.

It was nice to talk to you Phil at The WAAAM fly-in. Also Cliff from Yelm and the fellow from South Prairie; 4 Kitfoxes. WAAAM had a great turn-out.

Same to you Jim!

They said there were over 300 planes that flew in. The variety of planes was amazing.

I made it down late Saturday afternoon. I saw four Kitfox, one Avid and two Rans S7 aircraft but none of them were attended. Still, always a real treat to do a walk-around.

Anyone know who owns the metallic green Model IV that was in attendance?

Also, did anybody visit with the fella with the plans-built Buttercup? Interesting plane with a really neat history behind the design.

I believe the green model IV belongs to Cliff, from Yelm, WA.

Jim, I recall seeing Cliff and Yelm on the paper prop tag. Is Cliff active on this site and do you know his username?
