First flight today for N594ZS (IV 1050 Classic) at Turners Falls, MA. Rustled up some courage and took off. Immediately knew aok. Flew for 30 minutes, landed smooth as silk, looked things over, refueled and flew for another hour to explore slow flight and get eight or ten landings. YeeHaw! Flies very nicely. Flight controls a little sticky or stiff. Hopefully they’ll loosen up a bit.

Was unable to get over 1500 feet so didn’t stall but was able to maintain altitude with 3000rpm at 30 mph indicated. Gotta fly a calibration run.

Crosswind handling real nice. Whew!

Have plans to test then add gap seals, VGs, etc slowly slowly, step by step.

Awesome - now put some big tires on it and come down to Oklahoma and play on the sandbars with us.

I'm converting my nose gear to a tail dragger. Have all the parts on order so hope they come in soon.

Let me know if you ever get down Oklahoma way.

Again
Congratulations

Regards
Rodney

I take my 180 out to Idaho in the summer. The KitFox is bare bones. No radios, no nuttin’. Just for poking around up in my neck of the Northeast. Thanks for the invite. Been through OK in my Stinson and liked what I saw!

Haha! Tomorrow Brandon is sending the last of my back ordered items as I continue to wait for my certificate of registration which has so far taken over two months! I talked to a guy in BC that waited 5 months! so tomorrow I’m going to call and make sure it’s being expedited!

When the weight of the paperwork equals your plane’s empty weight you’re ready to submit application.
