Does anyone know where I could find all the factory service bullitins and such that apply to the Kitfox 1? Also, to what extent do these legally apply to home built aircraft? Thanks, JImChuk

PS I found them on the Kitfox site

Here's direct links to service letters and bulletins.
Bulletins http://kitfoxaircraft.com/index.php/service-bulletin
Letters http://kitfoxaircraft.com/index.php/service-letters

They are under the Home tab on the Kitfox website http://kitfoxaircraft.com/index.php

All information that is available is on the Kitfox website under the "Home" selection/technical F.A.Q/service bulletins-service letters. I believe John Mc Bean retained what was available from the previous organization and memorialized it on their web site.

Thanks guys, I've got them now. To what extent are they legally required? Not saying they don't make sense, just the legal side, as in a situation where the problem was corrected a different way? JImChuk

Jim,

All of the official documents (FAA) I have read indicates that service bulletins for EABs and LSAs are materially equivalent to ADs for normally certificated aircraft.

ADs for normally certificated aircraft and Service bulletins for LSAs are required actions (note that LSAs are issued SBs, not ADs).

Service bulletins are recommended actions, not required actions for experimental aircraft including E-LSAs.
