Went to go flying yesterday, and noticed puddle of fuel under wing. Look as far as I can see the fuel sight gauge is leaking on the bottom fitting. How often do you guys replace these as they get discolored in afew years.

Thanks Patrck

I replaced mine every annual. I waited 2 years once and noticed that the hoses started showing crazing or cracking. I purchased 100 feet of the hose on eBay for $30 and just started replacing the hose every year.

I would change them "on condition". My plane was certified 2.5 years ago and they are still in very good condition and not discolored.

Has anyone ever tried replacing the flexible hose with the hard plastic rod that the fuel samples levels are taken. Aircraft Spruce has hard plastic rods with graduations that are used to dip the fuel tank for fuel qty. Ive considered doing that.
