Another good video from Trent. First time I’ve noticed the large view panels on the boot cowl adjacent to the Rudder pedals on his airplane. Really good idea. Looks like there is an adjustable air inlet as well.

Although based on an expensive outcome (i.e. engine failure), another great video from Trent. When I was weighing up what aircraft kit to buy, I asked people who owned a KF and their overwhelming input was "great company, great airplane, very helpful builders". This video just proves all of that. Also, good to know that Paul Leadabrand was part of this rescue. Really looking forward to doing some back country flying with him in a few weeks. It's nice to be a member of a real airplane family, even when you're from another country.

With so many comments on the videos I just know my question would not get answered but am I the only one that seems to remember Trent was going to fit an Airmaster wobbly prop? Do you know if he's done that and combined it with the Stock EMU to have the single 'power lever' option or whether that plan has been put on the back burner. I can't see a separate control panel for an Airmaster, so can only think he would have gone for the 'power lever' option or it must still be a fixed pitch. I'd just love to see the 915 with a variable pitch prop do its thing.

Not AirMaster. It has to be fitted with a hydraulically governed prop. I’m pretty sure it’s an MT 75” and it’s on back order.

Well I most certainly don’t know what you are talking about. Trent is getting an MT prop that’s hydraulicly governed. There are many many people who run an AirMaster and I don’t think anyone of them would call it “flimsy”. I haven’t heard of a single issue with AirMaster

I don't take this as malicious, just a bad translation. Hopefully the poster will attempt to clarify what they were asking/stating. I believe the comment was aimed at whether the air master blades are reenforced for water-erosion protection.

I'll go one step further and put my newbie-to-this-forum head on the block, especially as @ADAMS is evidently a non-English speaker and - even with the best intentions in the world - is just as likely to come up with another equally Pythonesque translation next post (I don't mean to be condescending at all, and hope you can enjoy the funny side of this as much as I/we are @ADAMS :)

I think @ADAMS meant: 'It must be fitted with a very capable prop. Given the endless discussions already on the topic [on the net, about what prop Trent would fit] I don't expect a reply, but am I the only one who recalls that Trent talked about fitting an Airmaster wobbly prop.'

I don't recall what props Trent talked about fitting, but I did look up 'flimsy' in a thesaurus and one of the results is 'wobbly'.
And that's how I'm guessing VP ≡ wobbly ≡ flimsy. Oops :o

In the latest Trent Palmer video (here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYJucQEfx_k&t=107s)) there was a brief mention about how the CubCrafters wing is ~180 sqft and the Kitfox wing is significantly less. While I don't want to get into the kitfox vs cub debate, I'd like to know what the opinions are hear between the cub airfoil and the kitfox airfoil. I can find very little information regarding the sti wing other than it is a 'modified riblett'. What are the different properties between the two and would the kitfox benefit from having more wing area? Would a cub benefit from having a riblett wing?

Also, anybody know what the empty weight of the freedomfox is? I'm interested to know what the expected empty weight of a kitfox s7sti with the 915 engine, big tires and monster shox (like Trent's) is expected to be.

Based on your recommendation in one of your videos, I bought the Wurx 20 gallon fuel container and their 110v electric fuel pump. It has worked great for about 80 gallons and then the pump just quit working. Is this just bad luck on my part, or have you or any others had similar problems?

I sold my 912 exhaust to Kevin just before Reno. After watching the video I reached out to congratulate him on his win. He sent me a picture of his plane, taken just three weeks before the event. No wings, landing gear, tail surfaces, engine, panel or fuel system. Makes his victory even more impressive.

His Kitfox must have been the quietest plane at the STOL drags.
