Great meeting some new Kitfox builders/owners. Watched the practice session for the short takeoff/landing competition yesterday evening at the ultralight field, and looking forward to Larry's get-together on Friday! The weather's been great - cool & a little breeze.

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing, keep them coming.
Thanks so much for posting those Steve. I am so bummed that I couldn't make it. I have been looking on Airventure site but your pics are oriented to our liking on the forum. Very nice. There seems to be many more Kitfox's there this year compared to Last year. Radials are just too sweet.

Happy to do it guys. Hope to connect with the guys down on the ulralite area. Keep missing Larry (Mangy Fox) at the booth.
Had great visits with several TeamKitfox members so far and dozens of interested folks from all over the world. Fun couple days.
Got to visit with a few of our forum sponsors today and personally thank them on behalf of you members and myself for supporting our website and the Kitfox community. Ill catch them all in the next two days. Some were so busy at their booths I couldn't get up to even say hi. Love that.:)
Planning on making Larry's get together Friday evening. Looking forward to that.
Off to bed. Up early to get the Speedster down to show center so Kyle Franklin can fly it during Wednesdays airshow. Hoping for better weather than the forecaster is predicting. Fingers crossed. BTW, Kyle just won a very prestigeous aviation award tonight in The Theater in the Woods. See photo in previous post. Congrats Kyle. Justly deserved. Great airshow pilot. Night all. Wish you were here.

A few photos of the Wed. airshow with Kyle Franklin flying the new Speedster.
The rain let up just in time to get the routine in.
After, he stopped by the booth for photos.
A fun and histric recreation of his dad's flight 25 years ago.
He loves this aircraft.
A little soggy at times today but the evening arrived with nice temps and clearing skies. Off to watch the nightime airshow.

Would love to have been there so have been catching what I can on the webcams. The kitfox speedster aerobatics were great considering the weather appeared a bit unfavourable.
It looks like New Zealand even got a flag up on the entranceway:D unless those darned Aussies beat us to it again (they have 5 stars we only get four,I can't zoom in to confirm)
For those who are there it looks like a great show.We need pictures and video:cool:

The B29s are so cool. Why in the world would they not have flown with P51s?
I think they new that doing so would have caused a flood on the grounds with all the drool.

Got the word that Kyle Franklin will do an encore performance in the Kitfox Aircraft Speedster during todays airshow. Exact time has not reached us yet. If you are sticking around and missed Wednesdays routine this is your chance to see an impressive performance. As soon as we hear what time slot he is given I will try to get it postd here and of course Kitfox Aircraft's Facebook page should have it also and Kyle's Facebook page.

I hope they post the routine on the Kitfox videos segment of their website really soon. I don't do social media with one exception. I wouldn't get off this Forum for anything! Thanks for the posts.

Thanks all who stopped by and listened to me extole the virtues of this wonderful Kitfox community. I hope to fly my own Model 7 Super Sport here next year.

Oshkosh was such an awesome time. Many thanks to Av8r3400 (Larry) for hosting the Friday night get together. It was so cool to hang out and talk to the Kitfox family. Got to meet DesertFox4 (Steve Kellander) - he walked up and introduced himself right away and made my son and I feel at home right away. Still trying to remember faces & names, but was really nice to to make new friends. Kitfox rules!

I had the same experiences as most of you with greeting each other. My youngest daughter (33) was with me this year for 5 days and she loved the entire emersion of all things aviation. She has helped a bit in building a couple planes when she lived at home, has some air time and stick time with me. It was exciting to see her excitement, however, what really got her attention was the PPG's, slow, open and free. Anyway, The Kitfox Team did it again with a spectacular new plane and a fantastic paint job on the speedster.
Larry and Julie were gracious hosts and did you see Julie's rig, impressive. I hope to make it again next year to talk to others I did not get a chance to speak to, I would also agree Thursday may bring more folks to the gathering. Thank's to both Larry and Julie.

I was offered a ticket to the Int'l Dinner this year, never been before and it was a blast. It was hoppin' to say the least... great conversation, music and dancing... but those pilots ran the beer trailer dry pretty darn quick! I was sorry to bag out on the KF group but it was a late minute offer that I couldn't refuse. I liked the Fri date, Seaplane Pilots Assoc Cornroast is Thurs. There is sooo much going on all week though, conflicts are to be expected.

Why can't I find any information on the Titan powered version?
rv9ralph
08-05-2017, 10:34 PM
With the recent examples of the STi and the Speedster SS7s... and the Titan in the news, there are questions. The basic SS7 fuselage is the same for all. There are many engine options that are available for the SS7 Kitfox, more that most kit manufacturers offer. The Titan firewall forward is just one option. The three wing options are also available when ordering your SS7 Kitfox.
At this time, Kitfox is still eploring all of the details and performance of the STi and Speedster wings, that is why there is not many details on the website. If you want more Details on the STi and Titan, read the latest issue of Kitplanes.
