Hi All,

62 Days (give or take) until Airventure 2017. My girlfriend and I are heading over to the U.S for a holiday in July. We're going to attend Airventure with accommodation booked in the UWO dorm rooms.

We'd love to meet you guys and if really lucky I might be able to wrangle a flight for the girlfriend (her first Airventure) in a Kitfox at Oshkosh.

I run EAA's Seaplane Base, so I will definitely be there for the duration.

I hope to be able to attend any kitfox group gathering, but if any of you go out to the SPB look me up. Always fun to put a name with a face :)

I will be there also for the week, camping in Camp Scholler, arriving Friday, July 21. There are about 12 of us coming from central Pa eaa 122, Harrisburg, Pa. On Saturday we are driving to Broadhead. This is a great all grass airfield with lots of home built aircraft. I was there last year for a couple hours, need to go back for the day this year.

I will definitely be there! In my usual place. Arriving Friday or Saturday before and staying through to closing Sunday. The Mangy will spend the week on the Ultralight Field.

Again, my better half and I are planning on doing a "Get Together" again this year most likely on Saturday. Details will follow in their own thread as they come together.

We had a very good turn out last year and we are hoping for this new tradition to continue.

As I said before, details will follow.

I'll be there all week also... the 20th year of making the trip from Denver in my T-18. It''ll be in the Kitfox next year! I look forward to your gathering, Larry, and also seeing & meeting a bunch of Kitfoxers, new & old!

As a side note, I hope you all get a chance when at Oshkosh to check out the new logo on the signage for EAA's Seaplane Base. I'm pretty sure you will all approve.

I did have something to do with it, so of course it just had to include our favorite experimental airplane :)

I'll be there this year. Not sure what days yet due to my scheduling at work. Eric Joern will also be joining me as well. I have reserved a spot in a campground across from the entrance.

I am planning to fly the FreedomFox out there and potentially fly in the STOL demo, fingers crossed that I don't have a big job come up that would pull me away from it.

Thanks for the feedback, so far I count roughly 20 people. Thank you so much to Larry & his wife for your generous offer to host your world famous Kitfox gathering!

I'm looking forward to seeing Trent's Freedom Fox that I've seen in so many videos. I also hope to see Larry's Mangy Fox and many of the others I see lurking around the forums :D

I am going but will only be there the first 3-4 days. Stan I met you and James 2 yrs ago and talked kitfoxes with you. I never got a kitfox but found an avid flyer . Not ready to take it from tx yet though.

Maybe I can get William Wynne (the Corvair authority) mad at me again. He didn't like my stipulation that one spark plug per-cylinder was not good enough for aviation use.

Any idea when you'll have further info on your gathering on Friday. I only ask since at times (most of it) Wifi coverage at the show is iffy at best. If you need help on Fri. let me know and I'll be glad to assist. Thanks

Thanks, Rick. We should be good. We have a system in place now for preparing.

At this point I believe we will call it a Friday, 7-28, 5 pm get together with food at my campsite. We will break up in time for the 8 pm STOL show at the nearby ultralight field.

Larry, how did you get the privilege to park your Kitfox near the ultralights last year? I noticed only you and an Avid were parked there. When I fly mine there, I suspect I will be in with all the camping or something like that.

I flew into the ultralight field. That's where they told me to park.

My son and I have decided to drive out and camp in Scholler. We're going to stop at the AF museum in Dayton on the way, arrive Oshkosh Monday, and leave Saturday to return home. Would love to put some faces with names.

Got here last night at 11:30. Looked at Wannafly's bird this morning - it's beautiful! Also looked at the Mangy Fox - man that's a big prop! Didn't run into either of these guys to introduce myself, but maybe I'll see them around their aircraft sometime this week. Beautiful weather today too!
