I got my gearbox back from Mississippi on friday and wanted to get it mounted today. Unfortunately, I left my Rotax manual in town at the hangar. Anyone know what type of sealant goes on the mating surface of the gearbox? I recall a Loctite number but don't know for sure what it is or if I could use some Permatex black RTV.
Thanks!!

Thank you sir!! Now I just need to drive nearly 30 miles to town to get some.
:(

I also read somewhere that an alternate may be Loctite 598. Anyone know if this is true?

I think 5910 is the "new" product. I can't find reference to the "old" recommendation, but I thought it a 3 digit number so you may be right. I have the old stuff in the hangar and it has worked fine on several gearboxes I've done.
