Magneto plug dissembly

I am trying to trace down a mag drop in an older mag with the two four plug connectors. I want to reverse them and see if the drop follows. I am at a loss how to break apart those two connectors. They seem to be locked in place. I don't want to force anything.

There's a lock tab on the side only. If you press that in, they should come apart. They may need a little persuasion, just don't pull by the wires.
