Got an easy question for ya. The instructions say to run a bead of "structural adhesive" along the trailing edge of the fuel tank between the rear spar and the tank. Is Hysol suitable for that?
Also, where do I find or how do I make FLOX?
Thank you.

Hey Bob,
You want a Dow Corning product called RTV 739. It's in a caulking tube. I don't think the hysol has the flex you need in this application.

No. Do not use Hysol there. Also the manual says to use an alcohol based silicone adheasive. Amonia based silicone can promote corrosion.
Use a wavy bead when applying so air can get in and cure the adheasive.
This is what we use available from Kitfox Aircraft also.

Flox is basically chopped up cotton. Bought a bag of it from Aircraft Spruce enough to build 6 aircraft.
I too have a bag of Flox to make the other half of the fleet. PM me and I can send you a cup of the stuff. The qty that Kitfox sends in the kit is plenty. Not sure why I bought more.

How many tubes of the Dow Corning RTV 739 does one need to install both tanks, one or two?

One was enough for me.
