Exactly where is the "Leading Edge of Wing Root"?

I am doing my weight and balance tomorrow and would like to know the reference point.

Thanks

It is the leading edge at the most inboard part of the wing or rib #1.

To do the weight and balance you should level the plane on the scales and hang plumb bobs over the leading edges on strings that are taped on the #1 ribs. Make exact marks on the floor (on masking tape) at both plumb bobs. Draw a line between these marks and find the center line of the aircraft. Mark the center of all the wheel axles on the floor in the same manner. Measure the longitudinal distance to the marks from the datum (leading edge) for each of your wheels. This will give you the arms for your wheels. Then just plug the weights and arms into the W&B spreadsheet. Double check everything and don't pull the tape marks off the floor until you have checked the numbers and have good results.

Best of luck.
