what is everyone using to lift the engine.
I have a engine hoist, understand a special bracket is needed to lift it for install

There is a pad with 2 threaded holes on the top center of the engine. Nothing special, but I made a simple bent bracket out of .063" 4130 steel that worked well. The engine is pretty well balance when lifted from that point.

I lifted mine (912uls) with straps under the intake manifolds per the instructions in the Rotax installation manual. Probably this wouldn't apply to the 912is.

there are clearly designated lift lugs on the 912is. I used shackeles to those points and and block and tackle attached to my shed roof beams to hoist to position.

same as Rossir except with a short strong-back made from 1 1/4' galvanized pipe
and two lift straps to lift points on engine.
