I ended up doing it in 2 pieces and taping over the seam

If you haven't covered the sides yet, just cut the side pieces higher so they will fold over the top past the middle. Then do as Esser shows. This method eliminates the upper side seams.

David, i did 1 piece across, ending on top side corners. It took me 2 times. The first time i couldnt quite get all the wrinkles out. But i was successful on the second attempt. And i ran tape down the center too.
I asked john b. once how his was done with no sign of a seam anywhere. He said they do a big piece covering the side, over the top and down the other side. That way you have your seam on the bottom and it cant be seen.

Go Here (http://tropicaltuba.com/Kitfox%20Project/Kitfox11.htm#Covering the Fuselage Continued) to see photos of my project. In the middle photo it looks hopeless and, I admit, I almost removed it to start again. However, with persistence, I was able to make it work. What I discovered is that, when heat shrinking, the iron must physically touch every part of the fabric. This means work the iron down into every girt and fold. Keep at it and it will work.
