Hi all.....Just finished installing all Dynon stuff, before continuing it will be nice to have the trim positioning indicator on screen, there is a wire coming from the EMS module (pin 23 Purple/green) Elevator position potentiometer. Any body use this? And what kind of potentiometer can I use? Is this possible?

Thank you, I got a Ray Allen sensor from Spruce but haven't figure it out a way to connect.

Here is a shot of my D180 Dynon with the trim indicator circled.

I have a Ray Allen servo controlling my trim tab. This is using the internal feedback circuitry in the unit. The white arrows show the position of the tab in it's throw, the vertical rectangle, and the green line is the position I assigned as "neutral". There is also a mark (not easily seen in the photo) that indicates a "takeoff" position.

Thanks for the input.....Think I'm getting close, in my installation don't have the servo, just the Ray Allen position sensor, it has 3 wires, green, orange and blue, the EMS unit has only one or maybe two if ground is to be used. How will be the way to connect to make it work?

A photo of the trim position sensor that I purchased from Kitfox. I have not had a chance to test this yet so, I can't tell you how well it works.

Thanks Tom....first of all, your Web page until now, has been a great help to me in this magnificent project that I got involved 2 years ago. So thanks again.
Main issue here is if I can use the sensor I got from Spruce (Ray Allen). If not, will get another one but it will be nice to use this one cause getting stuff abroad is not easy nor cheap.

I have the Skyview system. I used the same on my RV-10. I'll check the wiring tomorrow.

OK, thanks again.
Of what I understand is that the sensor has to connect to the EMS module and only has one wire for this purpose, the sensor has 3 (orange, green and blue ), my guess is the green one. Just want to be sure on this before I continue. Now I know the Ray Allen sensor can be used with the Skyview.

Look at the above link. Looks like orange is power (5v from ems module), blue is ground and green is the sensor output.

I hope this helps!
