Hello all, New member here... SP CFI in Fargo ND

Though I do not own a Kitfox I am a fan

I recently picked up a student with a KF model 3 and am here to learn as much as I can about them, we have logged about 3 hours of Dual so far and this plane is really growing on me

Looking forward to sponging as much knowledge off you guys as I can

Thanks
John

John,

One of the best reads for can get for the money if you are interested in soaking up kitfox lore is the book that Kitfox sells titled "Kitfox Pilot's guide".....Covers all models, characteristics, engines, procedures etc. - extremely helpful for new people, students, anyone who flies or wants to fly a Kitfox.

Sincerely,

Welcome, they are a pretty nice aircraft. I've never flow a 3, but I have flown a 5 & a 7SS. I own a 7SS SLSA. Enjoy you have a lot of reading just to get through the web forum.

thanks for the welcome

I really like the plane.... on grass

It's a bit squirly on paved runways... I think it may be something with the tail-wheel

possibly an alignment thing, or some play in the cables or bearings

it's a solid non-inflatable tailwheel, may have to upgrade the tailwheel
