Wing Root Fairings

Is there any way to leave the wing root fairings on and still conect and disconect the wings for folding, is the obvious answer to drill holes threw them? Would you then need extra long bolt/ pins?

Yes, mine stay on when wings folded. The stock pins work. It's a Model 4 built by the book.
