I got about 150 hours this year in my Kitfox, 310 hours total in my Kitfox, 420 hours total Kitfox time. I just can't stay out of these planes whenever the weather is decent.

However Scott and Floog have even more Kitfox hours on a per year basis. Floog tell us what you are up to now in a very short time?

I've got 50 hours in the 5 weeks I have been flying - now, if I keep that up for a year that will be ............. a bit excessive! Don't want to end up like Scott and Floog!!!!

Merry Christmas Jim and to all of you here who have helped my project come to life!

cheers from OZ

Ross

I have 216.83 hours the last 12 months in my Kitfox. Total flight hours in my plane of 400.63 since February 2014. Just over 200 hours per year. Can't wait for the good weather to return. It's been pretty rainy here in the NW this winter!

Merry Christmas!

Scott

Mic,
Good looking plane. With the round cowl, gear and the way the doors are done, it has a nice classic look.

I've managed to put 190 hours on my SLSA since picking it in Homedale last March. Time has included Idaho, Utah and Nevada backcountry adventures along with working through to get my CFI last September. Most recent fun - teaching my son to fly - a fourth generation pilot in the making...

Ok, I'm one of those guys that fly a lot. since 2004 I have over 3000 hours. l average about 250 between the two planes. I went through flight training with the fox and it's now on it's second engine. I have logged over 2000 in the fox alone. the rest in the rv. :D

Isn't amazing how hard it is to stay on the ground when you have a Kitfox?
I've got 120 hrs since first flight in late June. I tend to experience withdrawal symptoms after not having flown it in a week.

Mic,
I had to laugh - at me. My first thought was that you made your goal of 2015 hours during 2015. I really appreciate your post as I definitely need the pointy stick to keep me pointed in the right direction. I am at about 1200 hours with 1000 of that in Model IVs. Not so many in my current IV, but things are coming together for a better year this year. Thanks again for the nudge. I would also like to second the thought on the great classic look.

Yup, I'm that way. It's been very hard to get into the air lately and a couple days ago Sunday, I raced to the airport after doing the shopping thing, at least it was Cabalas, got 5 gals and I was on my way. By the time I got to the airport, not even 15 minutes, things were starting to look bad. I thought I'll stay in the pattern, got the plane out and got seated, looked over at the hill and it was gone. :( It also started to snow real good. :( so I pushed er back in the hangar. :(

Getting my Sport Pilot, but flew in a friends Model II for 10 minutes early in my training and can't really say I had control of the plane. This plane is so different than a 182, remos or citabrea. I would like to try the II now that I have more experience.

Wow! That's 386 hours per year average!
I haven't seen anyone to beat Floog yet. Am I wrong?

Not sure exactly what hours Stick & Rudder log but as far as a private individual goes, there might be one higher.

Ray Volk, Phoenix, AZ. Model 5 Safari.

1550 hours in just 2 years.

I still marvel at those numbers.

I put over 300 hours a year on my model 3 back in 1999 - 2001 but I couldn't keep up with Ray. He went through two engines and maybe 5 or 6 different props in that time. A real experimentor.

Papa (Desertfox1) said "Ray was part of the air".
Papa said Ray was the insperation for starting the Desert Fox Squadron in 2000.

R.I.P. Desertfox3.
We miss him every day still.:)

Well maybe Floog you can up your game a little, to try to catch Ray's numbers.
