Got that pretty little pink card from the DAR today!
It took 2 1/2 years and 2250 hrs. of mostly enjoyable and very educational build time. I must say that the information I've gotten from this forum has been invaluable. Thanks to everyone for the great support.
Now I'm headed out to Stick and Rudder in June to get current and tailwheel qualified. It's going to seem like an awfully long time to wait for that first flight, but I'm excited about learning from the Kitfox training experts.

New Kitfox of the month, beautiful. I hope it flies as good as it looks! Good idea to get current. Stick & Rudder is the best place to get current! Have fun!

Series 6 trigear/ for now

They are the Desser 21/800-6 tires

The tailwheel is the 8" Matco that came stock with the kit.

John, I have been interested in the Desser 21/800-6 tires you have. I have been wanting to get them for my Model 5 but i really wanted to hear how they do on pavement as my home strip is paved. My flying buddy has the smooth version but he tells me they wear fast on asphalt, I guess he also fly's a lot more than i do so it may not be a huge concern. If you could give me your opinion i would appreciate it.

I haven't had mine on pavement yet, but others on this forum have said that they wear pretty well.

I have been using the Desser 21/800-6 tires for 230 hours now; about half that time on pavement, the other half on grass. I can hardly see any wear at this point, they still look like new. I keep hoping they will wear out so I can justify getting the smoothies.

I have almost 400 hours on mine, I'm based on a paved airport. No noticeable wear.

The "Bushwheel" style tires wear quickly on pavement, but the Dessers are much less prone to this.

Mine have been holding up nicely on pavement.
