For those who like to fly in the back country. Byrd's Adventure Center is in the Mullberry River Valley in central Arkansas. The people are super nice. They have recently added a restaurant with good food and good service (currently open on weekends). They are not on a sectional but you can go to their website at http://www.byrdsadventurecenter.com/ . Check it out. you won't be disappointed.

Rowdy1,
Looks like a cool place. Do you fly/camp there?

Yes, it has camp sites that you can taxi to. They also have a few cabins and showers houses. They are having a flyin May 7-10.

does it matter which strip you use or do they prefer fixed wing on the east west orientated strip?

Either runway is adequate to land. Their website says the secondary 1000' runway is open to light sport aircraft such as powered parachutes and trikes. Pilots are encouraged to monitor channel 122.8.

It's in Arkansas they will have some grass on the runway.

Hi Chase
We meet at Willow Springs flyin last year. I recommend landing on the east/west runway the first time. The restaurant is within walking distance. They usually will meet you at the runway and give you a ride. There is a runway close to the restaurant that is shorter and has obstacles. Let me know if you are going to fly there and let try to meet you there.

It's on my list for $100 Hamburgers. I need to fly over sometime, after the TexasSTOL FlyIn', and as soon as I finish installing my Advanced Flight 5600.
