I was watching Fox News today. On the Shepard Smith show they were talking about the Preditor Drone that was shot down over Syria. They showed a picture of the wreckage, and you could clearly see the Red Valve Covers with Rotax name/logo.

The MQ-1's use the Rotax 914. The most common issues? Blown turbos. Second is fuel system issues. I've tried getting parts but the deal with Rotax is all parts will be destroyed so they cannot make it into the public.

I personally believe the US Gov is the reason is so robust & reliable of an engine. the Reliability Engineers I use to get so upset with did a pretty good job.

Interestingly enough they take the rotax turbo off and mount a turbo that is on top of the engine. Rotech in Canada sells remanned predator drone 914s with brand new turbos for the price of a new ULS. Not a bad deal...

Look in the used engine category. War eagle flies with one of these engines and I have mine ready to install I bought off another guy.
