Does anyone know the thickness and type of aluminum the reinforcement
Plates are made from. The plates that sandwich the wing rib and the flap brackets rivet to?? Kitfox. IV speedster
Also looking to change the barbed oil line fitting at the pump. (912)
To a AN -8. And add a AN barbed hose 90degree fitting to prevent kinks
In that hose. I've seen a kit to do this but can't seem to find it now?
I know rotax has the fitting, any other options?
Thanks. Mike:)

I would just buy them from Kitfox Aircraft, save yourself the trouble of cutting aluminum that thick and then having to bend it at the correct bend radius. They can't be that expensive.

Just got a set from Kit fox. $ 190.00 After looking at them I should have built them myself. Live and learn. Got a lot to do anyway!:)

The $190 you spent on the parts did that include the hinges that are on top of the wing also. I am just at this point of the build were I can make the changes to my 5 wings if it is at all possible.

I wish that were the case, 190.00 for the inner aluminum angles only.
The upper hinges were on another order. I think they were 240.00
Give or take a little...
I do think the new style are stronger and easy to work with compared to the older system...your not relying on the cap straps all the load..:):)

I sent a email to John at Kitfox asking about the total coast to change my wings over to the new style hinges $450 makes it happen. I think it makes the wing look better with only the one hinge on the top of the wing instead of the old way with having hinges top and bottom.
