Ignition problem

I went out to the airport today to install a Tiny Tach on my Kitfox IV 582 Gray head.. The Tach works fine but when I did my run up I found that when I turned the switch to left mag it shut down. Right mag is fine. I thought maybe the TinyTach was the problem so I disconnected it. Same problem. I did confirm that that in both position it is running on both ignitions. I am leaning towards a faulty switch issue but did not have time to tear into it today. Any help and or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for your comments.

Bypass the ACS, left-right-both-start switch and see if the ignitions are both working.

There's been lots of debate here, but these switched have been known to fail from he AC power going through them from the CDI ignition.
