Hi everyone
Looking at buying a used Kitfox, probably a model 5, 6, or 7. The ability to tow the airplane has caught my interest since I'm less than 3 miles by road from the local airport. I've seen the diagram of a tow bar drawing, are pretty much all of the model 5 and newer able to be towed or is that something that would have to have been added when it was being built?

Greg- every Kitfox from the model 1 to the newest 7 Super Sport have the fittings built in to allow towing short distances. Your situation is exactly what that towing option was made for. Just keep towing speeds low and you should be fine. Don't try to tow it at highway speeds and avoid pot holes.;)

The tow bar is still available from Kitfox Aircraft LLC. Multiple contact options pasted below.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was hoping would be the answer :) 25mph speed limit to the airport so no issues with highway speeds.

here's an example of a KF 4 with custom made trailer. This rig will go down the road at 60 mph with no problem.

I have looked in the kitfox catalogue and I can't see a towbar there to tow a kitfox behind a car only one to maneuver the a/c around the ramp any ideas do kitfox do them?

That looks like a good option too. My only worry with a trailer would be being too tall to fit in the garage.
