Its Official!

Today was a awesome day!!! Not only was it my birthday, but I also received my airworthiness certificate and temp. repairmans certificate today from the FAA office out of Lincoln, Nebraska. They where very thorough and fair. They found my engine mount bolt ( the electrical grounding one) to only have partial thread sticking out. Along with asking me to safety tie my oil filter, and changing my nuts on the flappperon brackets to nylon locking nuts. They were gracious enough to help me out with the most forward and aft cg. I was very satisfied with the outcome of today and their knowledge of the kitfox aircraft. Getting quotes on Insurance today, with hopefully first flight in a few days. Pics to follow ASAP!!

Congratulations! My inspection was postponed from 5/14/14 to 5/28/14 and hearing your story, and seeing your grin and certificate have me now more excited than a 5 year old on xmas eve. I'll probably re- check all my bolt threads tomorrow. Nice looking plane.
