Last week I was up in Queensland and visited the Camit Engine Factory in Bundaberg. This a town on the coast where the Jabiru aircraft factory is located. In fact, Camit have been making the Jabiru engines for years to Jabiru specs. Cut a long story short, Camit are offering new engines (2200 and 3300) that have what I believe to be, significant improvements that will address some of the reliability issues associated with these engines. I was impressed. The FWF kit for the Jabiru 3300 will work the same with the Camit 3300. And the price in Australian $ is very reasonable when compared with other offerings for the Kitfox 7. The 3300 is 82kg, 6 cyclinder and 120hp. ( more details on their website). The owner of Camit is very approachable and willing to talk through their approach to this engine. Contact details as follows:

By the way, I have no association with the company - just heard about what they were doing and wanted to investigate as my engine decision is coming up. Thought it may be useful for others. I also understand they offer upgrades for Jab 3300 but are only for experimental at the moment - and not sure about availability outside Australia.

cheers
