Hi, I'm 1,70m in height ( you guys do the math :-) ) and have a Model 4 Speedster without adjustable rudder pedals.

HJas anyone a suggestion how to get the pedals closer to my feet ( currently I'm using seat cushions to get closer, but I don't like the seating position doing so.

Thankful for any useful suggestion ;-)

You can redo both rudder cable connections and make them shorter which would effectively bring the pedals closer to an extent.

I am 5' 9" (1.75M).

In order to reach the peddles in my model IV easier, I shortened the rudder cables at the rudder adjustment plates in the back, by one hole. This was enough to allow me to reach full travel, but it also re-angled the brakes making them much more potent.

The new angle of the brake peddles make it far easier to ground loop the plane. For instance, if you are pushing left rudder in, the right brake pushes out into your foot.

So, if you do this, just be careful of the difference in braking action.

Adding extensions to the peddles is not something I would do.

I'm 66" you can do the math. and I just put extra cushions on the seat and I reach the peddles just fine. brings the stick closer as well. I generally don't use the brakes, but if I get a wild hair and need to stop within 300ft I do. usually not, landing on grass helps.

I'm only 5' 5" and my classic 4 fits me like a glove with standard Kitfox seat cushions. Rudder peddles are just right for me.

what I did was go down to the fabric store, saw these cushions for making seats and thought, just the right size, I took one and opened up the seats, actually they open on their own and shoved that piece in there and made a nice thick back for my seat and moved me forward.
