I have a quart of PPG K36 acrylic urethane primer and I was wondering if it is an acceptable primer to use on the KitFox wing spars??

Thanks

Mike,

The question which needs to be answered is if PPG K36 acrylic urethane primer is compatible with the covering system solvents and chemicals since portions of the spars come into contact witht the covering glue and chemicals.

Building ventures are replete with attempts to use up something that happened to be on the shelf to save a few bucks so that much bigger bucks and more time needs to be spent on cleaning up the problems generated by trying to use up stuff that happened to be on the shelf.;)

If you are using the poly fiber system, get their primer. If some other covering system, check with them to see what they require for primer.:)

There are some cases where substitutions work....paint systems can be pretty touchy that way.:(
