A little background - I have a SS with the clear windshield/overhead from LP Aeroplastics. I have a Dynon SuperBrite D100 for flight instruments and a Garmin Area 560 GPS for navigating. Problem is on a clear bright day like today in KY, I cannot see either for performing their function (unreadable). Does anyone else have these devices, and if so, do you have a problem reading them under such conditions? I have a 1 1/2" overhang on my glareshield, but that doesn't seem to help. Also, I do not use polarized glasses or sunglasses.

Dick,
I have a Dynon EFIS and EMS D10 and a Garmin 696 and do not have a problem reading them. I do have Home Depot window film on my skylight and wear non-polarized sunglasses. Cold out here today, just got back from flying.

I have D100 and D120 , have never had it too bright for them.
I do have a different skylight than the clear one you mentioned, mine is smoke tint on the skylight.
Just checking, you have the brightness settings on the D100 turned right up ?
If its turned right up, then a tint film or sunshade would seem necessary . :(
