Hi guys, those of you that have built in Canada, do I need to get a preclose inspection of the front spar before I put the Composite leading edge over it? Any insight would be appreciated.

I would ask your MDRA inspector.
If just the leading edge I would say no but if you are going over top of the front spar where the ribs are attached it would be MDRA call.
Good Luck

Thanks Dave. I will give them a ring and see what they say. The leading edge may be the last thing I do before cover if that is the case.

You could also try Jerry Mulder at (403)343-6924, Jerry is the MDRA inspector that did my import inspection when I brought my Kitfox in from the states, he also does pre-cover and final inspections of homebuilt aircraft.
