Hi, I'm new to the kitfox. I have a kitfox 4 with a rotax 912 that I bought..I live in Alaska and have about 70 hours on it so far. I put a Grand Rapids EIS in it after I bought it. This summer I flew in about 75 degree weather and in order to get the temps up I have haft the ratiator blocked off and all of the oil cooler. I still only have about 170 on water temp and 185 to 200 on oil. The CHTS are about 215 at most. With half the radiator blocked off and still the temps are not as high as some guys say they run I'm wondering if this sounds normal for the 912?
Thanks for any help if Any help is needed.
Randy

if you've got access to a hand held digital pyrometer,..it would be a fast way to compare its reading to your gauge reading,..take her for a flight then shoot the radiator and oil cooler to get temps with the pyrometer,..
the above link mentions tuning the EIS to the sending unit too
