I raise my eye's to the sky's
I see clouds dancing on a breeze

broken by the sounds of joy
as a pilot maneuvers his craft with ease

over the clouds under them too,..dodging and occasional duck :)
other pilots gaze with envy, wishing they had his luck

to fly this craft from thought to completion
assembling everything from the box

not all can proudly say I built my bird ,..this amazing machine, my Kitfox
we pilots tip our hats to those who have prevailed

to beat the clock of life we all have , fighting it tooth and nail
to feel the wind lift our souls with the life we gave our planes

as with all first's ..the very experience that no one can steel
as we lay in bed that very night before the pavement releases the wheels

every thought pertaining to reconstruction of our dream
this amazing little plane we love our kitfox flying machine :)

congrats~!! :)

ps excuse any non rhyming phrases ..just wrote it as I was typing :)

I'd say that captures the feeling of first flight in an aircraft built with your own hands quite well Chase.:)
