Looking for ideas for some side kick panels to go down on either side that covers the back side of the fiberglass cowling. I am thinking about using lightweight corrugated plastic like the kind used to make political signs. Need some ideas on how to run the rudder cables through, behind or around the panels. I know kit fox sells them but I need to poor boy it. I have the Naca vents in the cowling so I would have to cut out for those.

On the first IV, I used quarter inch foam, sanded to shape and covered both sides with glass cloth, then fabric on the visible surface. This time nothing as i am trying for light.

I used some 1/4" sound deadening foam on the sides and firewall from Spruce.

Hi I had a professional (car interior builder) help me with the interior.
He made the side kicks and seat. Leather with thick paper behind. Attached to the frame with Velcro. Looks good and is very tight.
