Ray Allen sensor on stab?

Has anyone used ray Allen sensor on the floating stab kf5?

POS-5, POS-7, POS-12 ... POSITION SENSOR
I want to elimated the spring and cable. I read where some people use the systems off boats to show trim position. If so, pictures?
