Any Kitfox Flyers in the San Antonio Area?

Hi Folks,

I am at Zuehl airpark just outside of San Antonio, flying a Skybolt and have always been interested in the Kitfox. I was wondering if there were any kitfox flyers in the area interested in swaping rides sometime? I've always liked the kitfox and am considering building or purchasing one.

Welcome to the forum Brad. I'm sure there are some Kitfoxs close by. Give the guys a day to read your post. They're probably all out flying this weekend.:)
I got to fly a Skybolt once. Fun ride. Very responsive and a great aerobatics platform. The Kitfox was much easier to land though.;)

I live N of Austin. I flew to Zuhl (home of the Texas Parasol) a couple times last summer. I fly a Kitfox 3 with about 800 hrs on the Hobs. Love to meet up some time.

I think I saw your plane parked next to the taxiway towards the south end of the field one day. I was taking off and thought I'd like to fly that kitfox.

Must have been me parked at Zuhl. I was there the first time to see some of the Texas Parasol guys there, Sonny and Chuck. The second time at Zuhl I went to a hangar sale. I'll be busy for awhile getting ready to fly to Sun and Mud. I was there for the big tornados in 2011. After I get back we can maybe meet up for a hamburger or something.

Brad, I'll be down after I get back from Sun n Fun. I am starting a thorough preflight for that trip. I'll be going to the first annual Sport Aviation Association fly in at Barnwell, Sc on the way.

Looks like I'll be driving to San Marcos. Found a crack in my motor mount on my 1000 mile cross country a couple days ago. Same place I found a crack on my way home from Oshkosh. An A&P welded it. I'll have a real welder do it this time.
