My 912 manual calls for a slow blow 25A fuse. Anyone have pics of how there regulator line is fused? I'm not finding a wiring setup that im happy with.

I was thinking of putting a panel mount fuse holder in but the manual says this wire from the regulator to the main bat. wire that has the fuse should be short.

we used a automotive blade style fuse holder from the auto parts house.
they sell them in blister packs and you cut it in the wire from the regulator to the battery, hope this helps

Bird-dog,

I did the same as Jimmy. My DAR wanted to see some type of retainer on the blade fuse so I simply strapped a small zip tie around the fuse and holder.

I must be searching in the wrong places because I'm having a heck of a time finding a blade style slow blow fuse. Can anyone provide a link to one?

I used a 30 amp regular blade fuse in my fuse block.

we just used a standard 25 amp auto blade fuse, works fine.

Thanks guys, I think I'll go with a standard fuse and hope it works.

Does a standard 25 amp circuit breaker qualify as a slow blow fuse?

Jim,

Here is one quote form Wicks aircraft supply.....

"Manual reset circuit breakers used extensively as an alternative to slow-blow fuses in aircraft primary electrical circuitry. Single phase, non temperature compensated design features light weight, miniature size, and high vibration resistance. At 32F-Min ultimate trip: 110%; Max ultimate trip: 150%. Maximum width 3/4". Length behind panel is 1-3/8". Screw end terminals."
